Q) Why did you join ACACIA?
A) Two of my friends, Kyle and Zach, joined Acacia during the year before I came to Ohio State. I went with them to the house quite a few times and was able to hang out with a lot of the Brothers and talk to them about joining. Each one had their own story about the fraternity and what it meant to them. Hearing all of them have so many positive comments about Acacia and fraternity life in general got me really interested in joining and I think that joining has presented a lot of opportunities and benefits.
Q) What is your favorite memory of the fraternity?
A) I think it would have to be one of the nights during the ALCS when a few of us were watching the Indians and randomly started throwing empty cans into the ceiling fan. It was pretty much hilarious.
Q) What kind of influence has ACACIA had on your life?
A) Acacia has made me a lot more aware of community service and just being a good person in general. I’ve always thought of myself as a quality person but Acacia has already strengthened my character and willingness to succeed. I think there are a lot of benefits to being in this fraternity and the opportunities are endless.
Q) What are your plans after graduation?
A) I don’t really know exactly where I’ll end up, but I think marketing Ohio State Athletics would be one of the sweetest possible jobs for me. Since chances of that are probably slim, I’d consider a government job because they have great benefits and there are always opportunities to work your way up the corporate ladder.
